The Sims 3 Island Paradise is currently available for pre-order and drops anchor in retail stores and for digital download on Origin.com on June 28 2013. Players who pre-order will receive the Limited Edition version of the game that comes with the Island Survival Pack – a new set of content that equips your Sims with the necessities to scrape together an existence on a deserted island. As an added challenge, if 4,000 copies of The Sims 3 Island Paradise are ordered on Origin, everyone who pre-ordered before June 21 will automatically receive The Sims 3 Barnacle Bay!
I know I have a habit of saying this for just about every set we release, but I think everyone here at The Sims 3 Store really outdid ourselves with this particular set. There's just something in here for everyone. Can't wait to release these sneak peeks over the next few days

Well that's it. In a few hours EA will shutdown The Sims Social and SimCity Social. Are you going to miss it? I have to admit I haven't played it in quite some time. Mostly due to lack of time. But also because I could only complete quests if I added a bunch of people I didn't know or if I spend real money on it. I will admit I have had some fun times with both games. And I will definitely miss it. But on the bright side, more time to spend on other things!

Last week there were several Island Paradise hands-on events throughout Europe. We were at one of the events (click the image above to read our preview), and so were a lot of other fansites! I have no idea who exactly went from the other countries, and also don't know who has an article up. So I will just include the ones I know of, and if you know any others, leave a comment and we'll add that one as well!

Well, this is something else! Recently Djeranotjuh and I were brainstorming about "recreating" the eyes render from The Sims 4. So Djeranotjuh made a few quick pics imitating the Sims 4 render. We were talking about it and I promised to take pics of myself for this little thing, which was still for fun at that point. So then this morning I posted these pictures on Facebook and I got such a massive response. Others wanted to join in as well. It became such a popular request that we decided to start a new Facebook page and Twitter account for this. We realize that the project is bigger than we anticipated, so we are now going to do several of these projects, for each country/region.
