Do you like creating artworks related to The Sims series? Then this should be perfect for you! Here's a blog from SimGuruLyndsay!

Hello Simmers!

Many years ago The Sims team moved to Redwood Shores – we got a fancy new floor with fancy new décor, we got to name our meeting rooms (Bladder Failure & Social Bunny hee hee) and make it our own.  Recently we've been given a chance to refresh our studio again! It’s time to put up some new decorations, new paint, new flair and we want your help!  You are such a HUGE part of why we do what we do – your creativity constantly inspires and motivates us.  We'd like to create some spaces in our studio dedicated to YOUR creations.  What does The Sims mean to you? Paintings, sketches, collages, digital art – what has it inspired you to create?  Send us your art – something that represents you and The Sims (any The Sims product that moves you) and we'll start creating a gallery dedicated to you.

What have you made? We'd love to see creations inspired by any of The Sims games – from the very first The Sims , to The Sims 3 , to any of the console games (hey, The Urbz had some amazing style)! Pieces can be any of the following:

  • Photographs
  • Collages
  • Paintings, drawings, sketches
  • Handmade crafts that can be hung on walls

Please send your physical creations to:

The Sims
209 Redwood Shores Parkway
Redwood City, CA 94065

Not able to ship something to us but want to share your creations? We’re accepting digital artwork as well! Send your digital wonders inspired by The Sims to: Simleaderalpha@ea.com with the subject line: Artwork for the SimGurus

Get your stuff sent to us by April 4, 2014!

We can't wait to see what you will send us! Keep an eye out on our channels as we'll be sure to show off the creations on our walls!

Thank you for continuing to be part of The Sims universe and helping to make The Sims the special thing that it is.

Lyndsay

Remember how I made a superrrrrrrrr long informative post about the upcoming store set? Well that set is the Bohemian Garden set. My site has been giving me a massive headache lately when i try to post news. It randomly removes chunks of text and images, especially when I try to translate things. I'm not kidding, this site's news section sucks so much. Really hope we can sort that out soon. To the point though. The Bohemian Garden set has been released, there were some issues which caused a delay. But it's finally here, available to buy and download! See all the screens below.

The set costs 1,700 SimPoints and contains 24 items, including a premium item called Bohemian Fruit and Nuts. The set has 8 new harvestables including Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Peaches, Pears and even Cocoa Beans for Chocolate!

Release your Sims inner Bohemian! Spend a spring morning planting a variety of new harvestables and an afternoon lounging under a flower-covered canopy. What free-thinking spirit doesn’t want to take off their retro-styled boots and walk among the wildflowers?

View and download the new Bohemian Garden store set today!

Here are two concept arts from Sunset Valley, brought to you by SimGuruSarah!

Some early Sunset Valley concept. More rural than the final product, but you see the shape of the coastline remained.

A nice comparison piece to the Sunset Valley concept I shared early. We concepted landscape first, then added details

SimGuruSarah posted these tasty concept arts today!

Some candy concept art from The Sims 3: Katy Perry Sweet Treats!

SimGuruHouts posted more concept arts from The Sims Medieval! So pretty!

We'll start off with this great @TheSimsMedieval piece which was used to inspire a bunch of the wizard's objects.

The wizards table in @TheSimsMedieval was a really fun object. I love all the detail on it.

Continuing with the wizard theme, here's the concept for the wizard tower. I think I want to live there!

And if you have all this wizard stuff, you've gotta have wizards!

For the final Medieval concept piece: the mechanical golem and (in my opinion) the best reaper in any Sims game.

There is a new Featured Look in the store, but I was (and still am) sick, so I kinda forgot to post about it. A Featured Look is a set that contains items from several other sets, to create a whole new look. Unfortunately I already owned everything in this new Featured Look (or should I be happy about that? Lol). Anyway I ended up downloaded the featured look anyway, because this one comes with a ready made room for you to place on your lots.

The Monarch Suite contains 28 items and the price is 1,300 SimPoints!

This swoonworthy room comes with a selection of classic items in a lovely array of new patterns. Just place them in your house and make your Sims Fall in Love Again.

SimGuruHouts promised us several Medieval concept arts today. And he's already shared some. Tomorrow there will be more artworks. Happy

Alright, time for some concept art from @TheSimsMedieval!

Our artists were absolutely amazing! Here's a look at a storyboard being developed into the finished piece.

I loved the different outfits. Sims in armor are just too cool!

PlumbBob concepts for @TheSimsMedieval. Do you remember which one we used? Don't cheat!

One more piece of @TheSimsMedieval concept art before lunch. This guy looks pretty friendly, right?

Here's the cover of the concept book. It was a gift from our art director to the team when we finished.

One last piece of Medieval concept art for today (my favorite kid's toy). I'll post more tomorrow. Hope you enjoy!

Maybe you've watched the Oscars, maybe you didn't. I myself only saw some epic pictures on social media. One of those was the selfie with Ellen DeGeneres and many other celebrities. I thought that was pretty cool on its own:

If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best photo ever. #oscars

The Sims Studio made it even cooler. They tweeted this "selfie" recreated in The Sims 3:

@TheEllenShow You’re right, best photo ever. #TheSims

Now that is cool. Happy

Lately there have been lots of "recreations" of a lot of things related to The Sims. It's hard to keep up to be honest! But if you find anything worth sharing, feel free to tweet me @SNW, or post something on the SNW FB page wall!
